The Doctor Appointment
I knew what I was going to write abut but now it eludes me. My back has been out, my computer monitor broke down and I had to attend my mom’s appointment at the doctors. Once again, we had a nice visit. The doctor said she was in good health and he didn’t need to see her for another two months. She has been gaining a lot of weight though. When it came time to leave, I told her that she was supposed to go with the people that brought her. She went over to them, telling them that she wanted to go with her daughter. They used to work with me and help us through this, but once again it was a new person who I hadn’t seen. This lady wondered if I was going to take her and come back with her later. My kids and I had to go another hundred miles to Walmart and I knew that Mom would not make it that far, let alone go shopping and then have the return trip back to the nursing home. Before she got really bad with Alzheimer’s we couldn’t travel fifty miles. She would complain all the way and demand that we go home because she was sick. If we went into a store, to get cat liter as we were completely out, she would come in and find my daughter and I. My son would stay out in the car with her. When she came into the store, she would demand to know what was taking us so long. The next day she would want to go again and when we did she would do the same thing. This happened four times.
Anyway, at the doctors and after some talking, I finally convinced her to go with them. It is really sad because she could not remember even coming with them. She thought I had brought her and she wanted to go home.
The kids and I got to leave and we went on to Walmart so I could check on my jewelry sales and get a monitor. We sold some jewelry and I was sooo surprised. Good thing I had made some more, but she didn’t take very many of the items. Out of 3 necklaces she only took 1 and out of 5 earrings, she only took 2. No reason of why she didn’t want to consign the other pieces. I really don’t know about her reasoning, because there is one lady who sells earrings, bracelets and necklaces and her items are all over. My jewelry is unique and there is none like it in her entire store. She said the necklace sold immediately and that has been at least two months ago. I wonder why she didn’t settle the bill at the end of the month like most places. Then she wasn’t going to give me a receipt for the items she did take. But you know what, I am just happy and pleased and thanking the good Lord that I sold anything.
We are happy with the new monitor. It is an Acer and I can read this one so much better than the other one. Oh it doesn’t take much to make me happy.
